Upgrading Towpath between Pirbright and Deepcut

Towpath Improvements between Pirbright and Deepcut - 29th September to 30th December 2025
3.2km of the towpath between Pirbright and Deepcut is being upgraded. This will affect the stretch between Lock 15 and Lock 28. Signage will be displayed and unfortunately the Basingstoke Canal Authority is unable to put a safe diversion in place so the towpath will be closed. The Car Park at Brookwood Arch will also be closed to act as a storage facility for materials required for the additional piling and repairs.
