Silt from the Pond - Latest Update

The Pond was dredged in September 2024 and the silt which was removed was spread across the main Green. The intention is to use this rich source of nutrients to fertilise the Green and raise the level of this area which historically had some low areas within it.
Work began in April 2025 and the silt was harrowed and seeded. Unfortunately, a dry summer reduced the speed of recovery. The area was harrowed again in September 2025 and re-seeded again. It is hoped this seed will germinate and the grass will return before the autumn sets in.
