Silt from the Pond - Latest Update

The Pond was dredged in September 2024 and the silt which was removed was spread across the main Green. Spreading the silt rather than having it removed saved the Parish £30,000. The intention was always to use this rich source of nutrients to fertilise the Green and raise the level of this area which historically had some low areas within it.
The area was harrowed again in September 2025 and re-seeded again following a very dry summer.
Going into 2026 the area where the silt was spread is recovering well and greening up ready for the new year ahead as the BEFORE and AFTER photos below show.
