Pirbright Village Sign

The Village Sign is Back and looking Beautiful!

Unfortunately, the Pirbright Village Sign toppled during a storm in November 2025. The metal signwork was carefully restored and repainted by our wonderful Hall Manager, Catherine Loots and her husband, Johannes. This was a labour of love and the Parish Council thanks Catherine and Johannes for giving up hours and hours to do this voluntarily.

Roy Coverly designed a sleeve for the base of the pillar to prevent it rotting again and a new oak timber post was purchased by the Parish Council. The Sign as put back together by Roy in time for Armed Forces Day on 27th June 2026. The whole restoration came in at £1,420.07. Funding was received towards the restoration of £800, leaving the Parish Council (and therefore, you the parishioners) paying £620.07 from the Council Precept.
