PeriAid - help for Pirbright residents

PeriAid – keeping our community safe during the Corona virus crisis

To keep ourselves and others safe during the current pandemic, large numbers of people are now self-isolating in their homes. PeriAid is a community response initiated by PeriNews, the Parish Council and Pirbright Church to support those of us who cannot get out, by making links with those who may be able to help. We may be physically apart, but we can make sure everyone has some human contact and help with essentials like shopping, collecting prescriptions, posting letters.

We are asking local clubs, societies and organisations, to keep in touch with all their members, so that information, requests for support and offers of help can quickly go through already existing social networks. Our aim is that, as far as possible, everyone can be in contact with someone they already know, ’neighbours not strangers’. That way we can help to keep everyone safe, including volunteers and those staying at home.

If you have not had any contact through your usual social groups, and you would like some support whilst you self-isolate, or would like to offer your help, contact Lindsay Graham or Julia Douetil who can put you in touch with someone who can help. No one should feel alone or isolated at this time. Pleaes call Lindsay on 01483 476432 or email: lph@pirbright-pc.gov.uk or email Julia at julia.douetil@gmail.com

We may be isolating (again), but let’s make sure that no-one in our community is alone.
